Getting the whole world dancing

We're a small team on a big mission, to make finding dance events simple for everyone, from first-timers to lifelong dancers.

Our mission

Get more people dancing, more often.

Groovin exists to get more people dancing. For the community that already lives for it, that means more classes, socials and workshops with none of the faff finding them. But the bigger goal is opening the door to everyone who's never tried, and making that first step onto the floor feel easy and worth taking.

Our vision

A thriving dance scene in every city.

We picture a world where anyone can dance, anywhere. Where the dance world is open to everyone who wants to move, with no gatekeeping and no struggle to find what's on. And where the organisers who bring people together can thrive doing what they love.

What we value

The beliefs behind every decision

Open & inclusive by design

Dance should be easy to find, easy to book, and welcoming to everyone, whatever your background or level. We design against barriers and gatekeeping.

Simplicity wins

We remove friction wherever we can, for dancers and organisers alike. The fewer taps between you and the dance floor, the better.

Trust & transparency

Clear pricing, fair policies and honest communication guide everything we do. No surprises for dancers or organisers.

Our story

How Groovin came to be

Groovin started with a familiar frustration. Two social dancers, always keen to try a new class or find the next social, kept missing out, because what's on was scattered across Instagram posts, WhatsApp groups and word of mouth. There had to be a better way to find what's on.

So we set out to build it. From our base in London, development began in 2025 and we launched Groovin in 2026, a platform to discover dance classes, workshops and socials, and book them in seconds. And we’re not going anywhere: we support and improve the platform every day.

Groovin is community-led at its core. We build it hand in hand with the dance organisers who run events on it, and shape it around the feature ideas dancers share with us. It's a platform made with the dance community, not just for it.
